Job Description
The Infrastructure DevOps team (INF), is responsible for designing, installing and maintaining our infrastructure which predominantly consists of Oracle Exadata & ZFS systems. This infrastructure must be managed in a fully automated way, ensuring no interruption to the applications it supports. As an Ansible Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and testing the automation solutions that support this environment. You collaborate closely with others, continuously seek improvements and approach challenges with curiosity, focusing on optimizing our processes and automation. You will be the automation expert in the team helping others to improve their development skills predominantly using Ansible and Azure DevOps.
Functie
Key Responsibilities:
- Automate tasks related to the installation and maintenance of our Oracle Exadata and ZFS infrastructure, using tools such as Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, Ansible, and the Ansible Automation Platform.
- Engineer solutions to secure the infrastructure, ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, and integrate these solutions into the Rabobank infrastructure.
- Ensure high quality, continuity, security, and stability of our infrastructure.
- Collaborate closely with other DevOps teams and the Product Owner.
- Act as an enthusiastic and inspirational team member, helping and coaching the squad to improve their development and Ansible skills.

Who You Are:
You are a developer with strong expertise in Ansible and a passion for automation. You are skilled in developing and managing workflows for the provisioning, configuration, and monitoring of Linux-based infrastructures. Ideally, you also have experience with Python.
You bring:
- Extensive knowledge of automating deployments, developing, and testing code.
- Handson experience in Red Hat/Oracle Linux environments.
- Enthusiasm for automation tools and technologies, such as Azure DevOps, APIs, and REST interfaces — even when it comes to automating smaller, simpler tasks.
- Willingness to share your knowledge and experience.
- The ability to balance seeing the big picture with diving into details to solve complex integration challenges.
- A collaborative spirit, open to feedback, and focused on continuous improvement.
- Proficient in English (B2 level).
Required:
- Strong knowledge of Red Hat/Oracle Linux in the areas of installation and maintenance.
- Networking knowledge, including experience with firewalls.
- Extensive experience with automation tools (Ansible, Azure DevOps). Preferred but not required:
- Experience with Oracle Exadata, and ZFS systems.
- Familiarity with Arcsight, Splunk, Qualys, LDAP, or Pytest.
